First one so here goes. Always been a bit funny about posting on lj, but it seems like a good way of venting, so screw it - I'm venting.
It's currently 2.45am and I've got to two large assessments due by close of business. I need to get these and a couple of others in before the end of term so I can go away with the army on a course to learn to drive one of these:
If I don't get the work in I can't go away on the course. If I don't get away on the course I miss out on my T.A. bounty which is worth over a thousand pounds in much-needed, tax-free, debt-relieving cash. This will also fund my hobbies for the season.
Recently moved back into student halls which I guess doesn't help. Feel like I haven't spoken to a mature individual in what seems like an eternity. The vitality about the place is wonderful though. There are many extroverts - with it being a centre for learning outdoor pursuits management - and you find yourself being easily infected by it. But when it comes down to the nitty-gritty of work, it can prove distracting.
In a fit of stress I recently started smoking again which is never a good thing (the sound of Jude's whirring saw gets ever closer). On the up-side I'm slowly clawing my fitness back after a period of inactivity, and even took up yoga to improve my flexibility. Well, I say taken up - I've got a DVD of the lovely Shilpa Shetty putting me to shame with her bendiness, but I've already noticed an improvement.
Anyway I better get back to the books. Any outlandish ways of improving concentration will be most welcome, excluding caffeine and intrevenus drug use. Well, I may consider the last one if worst comes to worst.
